Back to Indore once again. Yesterday my flatmate was telling something about IPL being held in Indore. I was like "What?? Come again.." I am sure everybody has had enough of IPL by now, what more now? Turns out that a tournament called Indore Premier League is going in Holkar Stadium. Firstly the name of the stadium was so hilarious. I was like "What??" again. lol 'Hole kar' ye kya logic hai yaar stadium ke naam ke piche??. Turns out that the rulers of this land were called Holkars. They were great blah blah blah did blah blah constructed blah blah!! Go to wiki and check if you are interested. :P
So in the evening we decided to check it out. We went there, believe the stadium is absolutely fantastic!! Lush green outfield, all electronic systems for scoring and stuff, neat floodlights, average seating and the field area is bigger that Ferozshah Kotla so I was like "achcha ji Delhi se bada kya baat hai!!" We got seated there. We expected that the stadium would be empty but to our surprise we found that there were around 500 persons to watch the match. I love the passion for the game here. Even when IPL was hosted here, the actual one, the stadium was packed unlike other venues this time. The chief guest was deputy collector of Indore. I had visited his office in the day but found out that he was not in his office and would return back by 4 and when I saw him out there I was so pissed off with with. I mean you have time for this but you can't be in office. ^%&^%&&(($$#!!!!
The match was being played between Gwalior and Bhopal divisional teams. Both of them had hideous jerseys. lol. Pink and white - Gwalior and Green and yellow - Bhopal. Gwalior batter first and crawled their way to 106/8 in reply Bhopal started whacking the ball right for the word go until the rain gods intervened and stopped the play. It was so amazing to see droplets in front of the floodlight. Millions of tiny drops falling down in different directions and big beam of light coming from behind it. It was amazing. :D The match didn't start again.
Monsoons are here in Indore, I guess, it rained and kept raining and it rained in the morning as well. Moti moti boondoon wali baarish! :D
