Indore Journal 9 - Spooky Nights!

Indore crap again!
There was no weekend fun like last week instead on the account of World Environment Day, I guess we had a God forsaken power cut for more than 10 hours. But this blog is not about what I did in my day or what this place is about. Its about tiny creepy little bastards and your internal fears.

Late night I was watching a movie (as always) and unlike the other days this time I was lying on the bed rather than on the mat that I've put on the floor. I put one more bed sheet over the already laid bed sheet. Neatly tucked it in, put my cozy pillow and was lying down and watching 'Casino Royale', the 007 movie. I had loved Bond movies from the time I was 7 or 8. Suddenly I felt something moving on the right side of arm very slowly and I thought it was just air blowing or some ant, I started to ignore it. *James Bond music in background* Then it started moving and I could feel that moment but I couldn't see anything around. I started tapping on my bed and suddenly I tapped on something which was alive and I instantly knew that it was a LIZARD!! A lizard on my bed, even the thought of it is pukish!! I didn't touch it directly, it was beneath my bed sheet and over the old one perhaps. I have always hated those filthy little bastards, those tiny, four legged, ugly looking creeps who look at you with their bulging, watery, tharki eyes. Assholes!! I was always so scared of those wall loving, slow moving, insect hungry losers that I jumped out of my bed and switched on the lights and started searching for it relentlessly but I was shit scared!! I quickly lifted one layer of the bed sheet and started searching for it in panic, I checked layer by layer but couldn't find it. Sweaty palms and forehead, I couldn't believe that something which atleast 10 times smaller than me could make me feel so scared. I went back to watch the movie but this time around I changed the direction in which I was lying down. I put my earphones back and started watching the movie again but this time around I was very conscious and more than the movie I was looking here and there in search of the tiny loser! Loser strikes again, this time it attacked from below, I felt something crawling near my leg and I felt terribly scared again and jumped out of the bed screaming. aaaaaaaaahhhhh!! I switched on the lights only to find that creepy speedster zapping across the room and from beneath the room into the drawing room area. I ran behind it kill it with a show in my hand but I couldn't find anywhere. Lucky loser! I came back into my room still scared and panicky. Time passed and I was a bit relaxed and started to think what had just happened, I started laughing suddenly thinking how such a small reptile can make me jump out of the bed screaming. Such a phattoo I am!!
Aftereffects: 1. I started wearing jeans instead of shorts while sleeping so as to avoid any kind of insect bites. hahahahahahahaha
2. Whenever I take out any clothes from my bag, first thing I do is shake it, to shoo off any insect and stuff. hahahahaha.
You should do that too, you never know some lizard may crawl into your wardrobe and when you wear that favourite t-shirt of yours you suddenly feel something crawling on you with James Bond theme playing in the background!! :D

Enough of creepy stuff now its time for some spooky stuff. :D
I was coming back from dinner and my flatmate went to his friend's place to watch a match. I was walking alone and while going back home we have to walk by a cemetery. I thought of calling one of my friend as I had not spoke to her since I had come here. I was talking to her about what happens here and she was telling me about stuff happening back home (with her brother constantly doing bak-bak in the background hahahahaha) and while talking I reached the cemetery and suddenly the phone gets CUT!! I look to my left and right to see if everything is alright. I was wishing for my Casper to come and save me from the bad ghosts. I called her back and guess what. 'The number you are trying to call is currently switched off' SWITCHED OFF!! Are you freaking kiddin' me?? I just spoke to her 5 seconds ago! 5 seconds do you get that, a phone doesn't get switched off in 5 seconds. I started to walk a little faster, totally spooked. I called her again, and again the same result, switched off!! Haven't you felt sometimes that someone is trying to follow you but in reality there is no one. This reminds of this song called 'Fear of the Dark' by Iron Maiden. Thinking about ghosts and stuff, I always had a theory that when people die there body is cremated but their souls linger around, so if the current population on earth is 6 billion there will be much more people who have already died and whose souls are lingering on earth, so the living things are in minority to them and they are everywhere around us but we can't see them. I started walking faster and felt relieved seeing my flat. And after around an hour I got a text from her saying that her phone got switched off because of low battery and we had a good laugh thinking about the incident.

PS: My sincere efforts to spook you. Be conscious those creepy little bastards and spooky ghosts are all around you. BEWARE!!
