An argument with a friend today made me think of what we deem fit to call bitching and what are the things that don't come under that.
By this time I am sure you would have come across numerous occasions where you would have been bitching about somebody or someone would come to you and bitch about somebody or may be you are the person everyone is bitching about. But what exactly is it?
Lets google it. Amongst the top results were:
Offensive
a. A woman considered to be spiteful or overbearing.
b. A lewd woman.
c. A man considered to be weak or contemptible.
Slang A complaint.
Slang Something very unpleasant or difficult.
Its funny how everything written under the offensive category pertains to a woman. But I am cent percent sure that men bitch too! May be they don't call it by the same name but I am sure they do!
So what is it now?
Bitching - talking bad about someone in front of them or behind their back.
But I don't think this definition is apt as well. Well imagine a situation in when you go upto a friend a tell him/her about all the good things that happened to you in a day or about a really nice guy/girl who had helped you with some stuff in the day. You go to your friend and praise about them, right? But then why is the same thing termed as bitching if you go upto your friend and tell about a guy/girl who had been really mean to you in the day or something bad had happened to you because of that person. Why is it that this conversation is termed as bitching about that person?
In my opinion bitching is when you talk very negatively / even superficially / based on false assumptions / without completely knowing that person or his intentions + your own masala and then presenting it to the listener. Now that's what I call bitching! :D
Well know that you know my definition. Live a guilt free life. ;)

Reviving the art of letter writing
Well how many of you have actually wrote a letter to your friends or relatives or for that matter anyone in the last 5 years? Or let me put it the other way around, how many of you have felt the joy of receiving a letter from your friends or relatives in the last 5 years (except the stupid phone/ credit card bills and complaints from college for lack of attendance but well they don't give joy anyways!)?
There was a time when people used to write letters to their beloveds and waited for long in anticipation to receive a letter. Nothing against emails and other faster modes of communication but I just miss the feel of receiving letters and seeing the other person's handwriting and the effort that he/she has put in to express their feelings through those neatly carved words. The smell of ink coming out of the paper and the care with which they have folded the paper. The neat envelope with a beautiful stamp pasted on it. Just love it!! <3
I miss the number of stamps I used to collect when everyone used to write letters. The different kinds of stamps telling us about our heritage, our great heroes, our great victories, our rulers, our national symbols and depicting everything what we are today and men/women who helped to shape it this way.
In my opinion we should atleast write 1 letter a week to someone we care for because I am sure all of us have someone elder whom I am sure would love to see a letter from their grandchild, niece, nephew, brother, sister, friend. Or you guys write it to me as I would love to receive a letter from you and I promise to write to you back!

What would I have done without you?
Each time I decided to fly, my wings collapsed and I dropped right down,
I looked for help and searched for a hand but I all I got was just a frown.
Searching eyes and tough times I longed for a companion and wandered around,
Wrong decisions and I stumbled around and hatred was the only thing found.
Hollow from inside and worn out from the top, I stopped wishing to fly high,
Fortunes came knocked my door but all I gave was a wry smile and a sigh.
Amidst the attention hungry mean world, I found a shy little angel eager to fly,
Is she the one I was waiting for, confused, I asked her and waited for a reply.
Never in my life was I so nervous and excited to get an answer to a question,
She took her time and thought about the task and “let’s fly” was the solution.
I jumped around elated and ecstatic and looked at the world in bemusement,
It wasn’t the same, it was colourful and lovely, I danced around in amusement.
Promises exchanged and feelings shared, we started to grow stronger and stronger,
Nothing said but all understood we sat looking into each other longer and longer.
Resting in my arms I knew I was holding my world and I would let you go never,
I looked at her and she smiled at me and assured that she is resting there forever.
Ambition and true grit in her eyes, she showed me how to chase your dream,
You go out there, battle it out and never quit till you learn to swim upstream.
Said my prayers and went out flying and always remembered what she said,
Job done, I sailed through, joyous I returned and she kissed me on my head.
All said and done she went back home and promised to back me throughout,
I love you so and I love you more and without your backing I will burnout.
Days pass, the longing increases, I flip in my bed in misery and sorrow,
But I know the stars will shine and you will be back and fill my arms again tomorrow.
You are the colour and the life in my life and what would I have done without you.
Wishing you a very happy birthday. Keep smiling and shining!! :)

Indore Journal 13 - Rainy Survey Day - Walk in the Park
A clumsy day to start with and then had to go for survey. Survey word seems like a blessing now. We went about driving through the city. Around evening it started raining. And it was raining very very heavily. I guess monsoon has begun properly in this part of India now. We thought of stopping and having lunch in the meanwhile and went to this old looking restaurant near the Govt. bus stand. Had Malai Kofta after a long time and roti with butter dripping out it. :D My devout love of fattening things continue. Cheese, butter, ghee, whatever just give it to me. :D Finished the yummy meal but there were no signs of the rain stopping. We were talking about random things and suddenly a word came 'Pipliyapala'. Pipliyapala is place in Indore where recently a big park has been constructed besides a lake and its designing is done by the firm in which I am training right now. We decided to go there since we were half wet and survey was not possible anymore since our papers would get all smudged. I go for surveys with the draftsman in our office (hereafter referred as Mr. Draftsman) so he was very much involved in the designing of the park and knew a lot about it. As we were walking along the canal inside the regional park he telling me about the details of all the elements over there. After every 10 minutes he will be like 'Yeh walkway maine design kara hai', 'Yeh jo wall hai uski working drawing maine banayi hai', 'Is pure structure ki working drawing maine banayi hai' :D I could feel the happiness a person gets when what he makes gets on ground. The feeling of something that he made turning reality. For the first time in Indore I saw some couples hanging out. It is otherwise a pretty dry state in terms of love birds. You don't find couples walking around even in malls. Just sad! Mr. Draftsman was getting all excited watching all the couples and was wishing to come to that place with his girlfriend. I asked him to bring any girl and telling her all you have done in this park and I am sure that he would get that girl. The park is that impressive.
It has been constructed along a lake, a whole pathway has been made along the lake and there are lights placed inside the lake as well. There is a very cool maze made out of topiary (shrubs cut in a very articulate manner) in which you would definitely get lost like in that movie 'The Shining' there is a big maze in front of the hotel . We decided to play in it for a bit. We both entered from different directions and the objective was to meet in the centre but we just went round and round here and there but couldn't find each other, finally we had to phone each other to meet at a common point. There was a really cool section called the Artist's village which is made in Rajasthani style and it had the most amazing landscaping in front of it. The lake has a canal which encircles the entire park and a walkway runs along it. So its a great joggers track as they can run along the water canal and enjoy the beautiful morning or evening. There are beautiful resting huts made in Maratha and Rajasthani style in red sandstone lookalike.
We were staring at this group of youngsters, 2 guys and a hot chick and standing. Suddenly,
Mr. Draftsman: Yaar Dilli me toh maine suna hai bohot hot ladkiya hoti hai.
Me: *embarassed* Aisa nahi hai.
Mr. Draftsman: Nahi nahi maine bohot logo se suna hai ki waha pe sab chote chote kapde pehenti hai, bohot mast hoti hai.
Me: Haan, hoti toh hai. *gyan time* Dekho aisa hai farak outlook me hai. Waha pe ladkiya kaafi casual hoti hai, matlab unhe kuch jyada farak nahi padta. Aisa nahi hai ki sab sundar sundar ladkiya hoti hai, sundar ladkiya toh Indore me bhi hai par pehen ne ka dhang, ghumne phirne ke dhang me farak hai bohot. Bas ussi farak se aisa lagta hai ki Dilli ki ladkiya alag hoti hai ekdum.
Mr. Draftsman: Mast hai yaar.
Me: Aadhi se jyada ek dum batameez aur nakcheedi hoti hai.
Mr. Draftsman: Mai toh door rehta hu ladkiyo se ek dum.
hahahahaha
If I had missed this place in my stay in Indore it would have been a big loss. A must visit place in Indore. He was also telling me that before this park came up there was no place to take any guests to when they would come to Indore but now they could take them here and spend the day and relax. And indeed so.

Indore Journal 12 - Extended Weekend
Well! For the first time since I have come here, 2 good days back to back!! What a rarity!! For all the adventure savvy life I wanted, it all goes to drain after this trip. I am so not in for the office kinda adventure anymore. Going to office sucks and especially so if it is 6 days and even more so if (well later), I have a certificate to collect from here later. *rolling eyes*
After super sucky Saturday when the software managed to wipe the smile off my face all day long and make me feel disgusted and miserable and sick with life for the rest of the day, I finally woke up to a Sunday when there was electricity. I had almost taken it for granted that there won't be any electricity on Sundays. I don't understand what is wrong with the electricity department people over here. Don't the bloody have a life. Like how can you do this to people. Sunday morning sleep is the most pristine form of sleep ever. I never remember my childhood days when I ever woke up before noon ever. Aaahhh! How I miss my bed!! I slowly dragged myself out of the bed at 12 30 and was think where to go that day.
Finally decided to check out the zoo and museum over here. A good city always has a good zoo and a good museum. It shows how they value there natural and cultural heritage. And the amount of people visiting there tells us how much people like those things. For a mall crazy city I was surprised to see so many people visiting the zoo. I stood in the line to take the ticket. Like in all the places, I don't know why people keep clobbering into the ticket counter and try to evade the queue. Why don't they understand that everyone would get it faster and easily if you just be patient for sometime instead of bashing in. Baaki piche jo line me khade hai wo chutiye hai kya? As soon as I reached the counter this dude comes in a puts in his hand into the tiny hole in the ticket counter, I took his hand and pushed it even further inside and said 'inko jyada jaldi hai, inko pehle dijiye', the ticket counter guy shoooed him away. It was hilarious. I got the ticket first. :D As I walked out that guy had also got a ticket and was showing me his ugly angry eyes, I gave a stare back at him. I felt like saying 'Size dekh ke baat kar le, ek chaante me gir jayega.' He was this patla danda sa guy even Olive (The Popoye Show) would be fatter than him. I kept bumping into him and I kept delivering him an evil look. I am so glad that I didn't have to encounter that jackass otherwise all the office frustration would have been taken out on him. But how do I care.
My endless love for zoo continues. It was amazing. The elephants, 3 types of tigers - The Pahari Tiger, The Royal Bengal Tiger and The White Tiger, crocodiles and alligators, different kinds of birds, etc. etc. It was just amazing. :D The elephant was dancing (mastana haathi jhoom raha tha), it was as if the the elephant was drunk and was going right and left in rhythmic fashion. It was really funny and amusing to see that. Out of the 3 types of tigers only the white tigers were active. They were in such playful mood, jumping around and posing for the shutterbugs, it was an absolute delight. Saare paise wasool ho gaye. :D The crocodiles had given birth to some 8 baby crocs. I was scared to see them lay so still, like they can pounce any time. I just love to go to the zoo, the child inside me jumps out and makes me all bubbly when I go to the zoo. Surprisingly the zoo here was good especially because of the crocodiles, alligators and 3 types of tiger. You don't find all of it at the same place at the other places. We were quite late to go to the museum so we headed back home. I came back and slept. By the time I woke up flatmate and sunday dinner mate had come and had started cooking. They made awesome Tomato rice. Being the youngest helps you in these ways as I had to do nothing, just did the dishes at the end out of moral responsibility. :D They cook amazingly well. Especially my flatmate he does all the tomato stuff so very well and he is a pro at knowledge about all food related things. :D
Saw Love, Sex aur Dhokha later. Very hatke movie I must see. I liked it. A good day had come to end and a bad feeling about the next day had crawled in by the time. Sleep. Sleep is the best medicine when you are feeling low.
I woke up reluctantly the next morning and went to office and finally finished up with the map thing somehow. God bless the new entrant in the office who seems to be bit of a techie who helped out with the map thing. Then I decided not to work any more that day (it was like a rebellion that I am not working, I don't want to work anymore). I spoke to people I love (I mean I chatted), I texted everyone what's up and was just replying to them. I addressed them as lucky Delhi people. So everyone was replying why are Delhi people lucky. But mind you, you are lucky to be there, it is THE BEST! I totally realize it now. I left half an hour earlier and went to this mall called Central as I had heard really high of it. It was grand but nothing quite like Emporio or Promenade. People are crazy about malls here! A working day and the mall was still full. While walking upto the mall I saw this tree which was full of parrots. I wasn't a single leaf on the tree but the tree was still shining green. That many parrots and more parrots flying in. It was an amazing sight. I have never seen that many parrots ever. I went to this small shop in the mall to have patties. I couldn't believe that these people even garnish patties with sev. People here are mad over sev man!!
I went back home wondering how can I have two days on the trot without feeling much miserable about life.

Indore Journal 11 - Playing Cards
Yes! Yes! Yes! Yes! I finally won! Hurraayyyy!!! OK *breath* I finally won last night against my flatmate in the game of '29'.
Its a card game mostly played in rural areas and the terminologies are a bit different here. I knew how to play the game but I had always played that game with 4 players but he had different rules for the game in 2 players. And they are a bit different from the normal game I played.
Alright let me briefly explain the game to you. Out of the 52 cards from the pack, the game is played only by cards which have a denomination of 7 and above. Rest are waste cards which are kept aside. Which means that there are just 32 cards in the game. Now, 4 cards are distributed to each player first and on the basis of those cards you have to call out points that you would make with a minimum of 16. This is done like a bid first person calls 16, if the next person is confident that he can beat it then he says 17, then he can either say 'ditto' which means he can make 17 too or can pass and let him make it. And that is the objective of the game, on the basis of the 4 cards if you call to make lets say 18 points and if you are able to make 18 points you win otherwise you lose. Simple objective. Now the complications. The one who calls the points has an advantage that he gets to choose the trump card which is a particular suit (sign of cards) of cards and this suit if played on any other suit would make you win the hand (that particular bout). Now the points: every Jack (J) fetches 3 points, every 9 fetches 2 points and every A and 10 fetches 1 points each in which A being the bigger card, i.e. if I play 10 and you play A, then you win. Now after the 4 cards each you have in hand, next set of 4 cards are kept face down in front of you. So now there are 8 cards, 4 each, in front of you. Next set of 8 cards are kept over these face down cards, now you can see 4 cards of his and he can see 4 cards of yours and the last set of 8 cards is distributed 4 each which you can hold in your hand. So you have 8 cards in your hand and 4 face down and 4 face up cards on the table. Now you play and whoever has the bigger point card he wins. There is an additional element, if you have the Queen and King of the trump card suit, then you get a rebate of 4 points, these always turns the game around. Its called 'Royals' or 'Pyaar'. This is the most exciting part of the game. But you have to play to feel it. Every bid and win earns a red point and every bid and lose earns you a black point. If there are 6 blacks on the opponent or 6 reds on your side, then you win the game. Yesterday I made him have 6 blacks and I won.
I had been losing for the last 5 days and that too very decisively, I just changed a bit of my tactics today and it proved great. I was so happy to finally break the losing streak, I can so feel what Zimbabwe feels after winning a match against South Africa. hahahaha. Well I wrote all this so that I don't forget it when I get back home because I have to teach all this to people in Delhi, you may read it so that you are prepared to play this with me when I get back. :D

Indore Journal 10 - Super Sunday
Haylo people again!! Its been quite some time now. Was bored out of my wits except for Super Sunday! I wish there were a lot more Sundays. :D The problem is that in Indian calender there are no holidays during May-June. How ridiculous is that, arre bhai chuttiyan thodi evenly distribute karni chaiye na! Anyways back to super sunday. One of my colleagues wanted to go to Ujjain, so I happily joined in. I think she prayed for something and that happened and in return she must have took a vow to go to Ujjain because she just wanted to go to this one temple and return asap! I so wanted to hang out a lot more, so we decided that she returns back after that one temple and I carry on.
So we head out for Ujjain at 7:30 am and took a bus from Indore. We reached there by 9:30 am. From the place he dropped us we had to take a shared auto but it was not exactly a normal auto. It was like one of those automobiles that you can use if you were planning to make Transformers in Hindi. hahahahaha. It was a huge, rusty, old styled tempo like thing with only one tyre in the front and two rows of seats in the behind in which people face each other. I was so fascinated with that Transformers auto ride. :D If you still didn't get a visual of what I am trying to explain then click on this link: http://www.loupiote.com/photos/4160382936.shtml
We finally reached Mahakaleshwar Mandir or simply Mahakal as locals call it. It is one of the Jyotirlingas out of the 12. The scene inside the temple was truly mesmerizing. The rush, people chanting 'Om Namah Shivayah', beating of drums and cymbals, absolutely mesmerizing. All I could do was fold my hands and gaze at the absolutely amazing Shivlinga. The Shivlinga there was exactly like we see in the movies and how we have read in old stories. Perfectly elongated dome shaped which would for once make you think that it may be carved by some person but such is the magic of nature, it creates things that are beyond human imagination. It was nice to see milk dripping onto the Linga from a Kalash kept over it and the saint performing his mantras and occasionally pouring some sacred water over the Linga. Finally they made something like eyes on the Linga with red powder and lit the lamp and chanted mantras to mark the end of the Aarti. I think just to watch that Shivlinga was enough to compensate the rickety bus ride and the heat. The only sad part that we were not allowed to go close to the Linga or the Nandi statue. We were made to stand some 30 feet away from the statue and made to witness the Aarti from there. At the entrance you could see a board saying, 'Bhole Baba ke darbar me sab ek hai', but that was not the case there, some people were allowed to go ahead of the point where the barricade was kept while others had to see it from a distance. Unfair, I want to touch the Linga too!!
We got of the temple decided to eat something. I had samosas! :D But to be frank street food in Indore disappoints me, I don't know why but I am not quite satisfied with the street food here. I don't know whats the use of putting sev over every single item you prepare. That is just dumb! :P The best item I've had after coming here is Sev Tamatar though. Its a must have if you ever come to Indore. I decided to skip the rest of my journey and headed back home owing to the ridiculous heat! I am saying this, can you believe that! For a person who loves summers more than winters, when he says it was ridiculous heat, it means it was RIDICULOUS HEAT!! lol. It makes no sense but whatever it was very hot outside.
We took a bus back home and that asshole bus driver was honking every 15 seconds as if he had put that horn just a day before and was showing off to everyone that see I have put a new horn in my bus. Alright dude I get it its your new thing but the ears I have are not fucking yours, they are mine. Don't subject me to this you fucking moron! Whatever! I decided to sleep but hooooooooonnnnnkkkkkkkkkk hoooooooooooonnnnnnkkkkkk!! Crazy driver!! I had to put my earphones and play music the loudest I could to remotely sway away that noise. Drivers here honk way too much!
I came back home and slept off and woke up around 7 in the evening. We decided to cook dinner tonight instead of going out. :D Flatmate and the lady I went to Ujjain with got vegetables and stuff and we started the process. I, being the youngest wasn't expected to do much! Haha, I love being the kid! :D But I wasn't feeling very good about not contributing. I made Bhel Puri. No! Don't be in any misconceptions that I made all the things and made Bhel Puri, I had got a Haldiram Bhel Puri mix when I had come for worst case scenario sake (no food available) but worst case scenario hadn't struck yet so it was lying spare. I made Bhelpuri and it was Yum! Thanks to Haldiram, there isn't much that I do in it, except cutting onions and boil a potato (which my flatmate did for me) and mix the masala and stuff and nicely mix all the ingredients. lol.
Finally they were done cutting all the veggies and we decided to make mix-veg curry, rice and curd. It was super yum! I couldn't believe that we made all that stuff! What a satisfaction. :D
It was fun weekend! :D

Indore Journal 9 - Spooky Nights!
Indore crap again!
There was no weekend fun like last week instead on the account of World Environment Day, I guess we had a God forsaken power cut for more than 10 hours. But this blog is not about what I did in my day or what this place is about. Its about tiny creepy little bastards and your internal fears.
Late night I was watching a movie (as always) and unlike the other days this time I was lying on the bed rather than on the mat that I've put on the floor. I put one more bed sheet over the already laid bed sheet. Neatly tucked it in, put my cozy pillow and was lying down and watching 'Casino Royale', the 007 movie. I had loved Bond movies from the time I was 7 or 8. Suddenly I felt something moving on the right side of arm very slowly and I thought it was just air blowing or some ant, I started to ignore it. *James Bond music in background* Then it started moving and I could feel that moment but I couldn't see anything around. I started tapping on my bed and suddenly I tapped on something which was alive and I instantly knew that it was a LIZARD!! A lizard on my bed, even the thought of it is pukish!! I didn't touch it directly, it was beneath my bed sheet and over the old one perhaps. I have always hated those filthy little bastards, those tiny, four legged, ugly looking creeps who look at you with their bulging, watery, tharki eyes. Assholes!! I was always so scared of those wall loving, slow moving, insect hungry losers that I jumped out of my bed and switched on the lights and started searching for it relentlessly but I was shit scared!! I quickly lifted one layer of the bed sheet and started searching for it in panic, I checked layer by layer but couldn't find it. Sweaty palms and forehead, I couldn't believe that something which atleast 10 times smaller than me could make me feel so scared. I went back to watch the movie but this time around I changed the direction in which I was lying down. I put my earphones back and started watching the movie again but this time around I was very conscious and more than the movie I was looking here and there in search of the tiny loser! Loser strikes again, this time it attacked from below, I felt something crawling near my leg and I felt terribly scared again and jumped out of the bed screaming. aaaaaaaaahhhhh!! I switched on the lights only to find that creepy speedster zapping across the room and from beneath the room into the drawing room area. I ran behind it kill it with a show in my hand but I couldn't find anywhere. Lucky loser! I came back into my room still scared and panicky. Time passed and I was a bit relaxed and started to think what had just happened, I started laughing suddenly thinking how such a small reptile can make me jump out of the bed screaming. Such a phattoo I am!!
Aftereffects: 1. I started wearing jeans instead of shorts while sleeping so as to avoid any kind of insect bites. hahahahahahahaha
2. Whenever I take out any clothes from my bag, first thing I do is shake it, to shoo off any insect and stuff. hahahahaha.
You should do that too, you never know some lizard may crawl into your wardrobe and when you wear that favourite t-shirt of yours you suddenly feel something crawling on you with James Bond theme playing in the background!! :D
Enough of creepy stuff now its time for some spooky stuff. :D
I was coming back from dinner and my flatmate went to his friend's place to watch a match. I was walking alone and while going back home we have to walk by a cemetery. I thought of calling one of my friend as I had not spoke to her since I had come here. I was talking to her about what happens here and she was telling me about stuff happening back home (with her brother constantly doing bak-bak in the background hahahahaha) and while talking I reached the cemetery and suddenly the phone gets CUT!! I look to my left and right to see if everything is alright. I was wishing for my Casper to come and save me from the bad ghosts. I called her back and guess what. 'The number you are trying to call is currently switched off' SWITCHED OFF!! Are you freaking kiddin' me?? I just spoke to her 5 seconds ago! 5 seconds do you get that, a phone doesn't get switched off in 5 seconds. I started to walk a little faster, totally spooked. I called her again, and again the same result, switched off!! Haven't you felt sometimes that someone is trying to follow you but in reality there is no one. This reminds of this song called 'Fear of the Dark' by Iron Maiden. Thinking about ghosts and stuff, I always had a theory that when people die there body is cremated but their souls linger around, so if the current population on earth is 6 billion there will be much more people who have already died and whose souls are lingering on earth, so the living things are in minority to them and they are everywhere around us but we can't see them. I started walking faster and felt relieved seeing my flat. And after around an hour I got a text from her saying that her phone got switched off because of low battery and we had a good laugh thinking about the incident.
PS: My sincere efforts to spook you. Be conscious those creepy little bastards and spooky ghosts are all around you. BEWARE!!

Indore Journal 8
Back to Indore once again. Yesterday my flatmate was telling something about IPL being held in Indore. I was like "What?? Come again.." I am sure everybody has had enough of IPL by now, what more now? Turns out that a tournament called Indore Premier League is going in Holkar Stadium. Firstly the name of the stadium was so hilarious. I was like "What??" again. lol 'Hole kar' ye kya logic hai yaar stadium ke naam ke piche??. Turns out that the rulers of this land were called Holkars. They were great blah blah blah did blah blah constructed blah blah!! Go to wiki and check if you are interested. :P
So in the evening we decided to check it out. We went there, believe the stadium is absolutely fantastic!! Lush green outfield, all electronic systems for scoring and stuff, neat floodlights, average seating and the field area is bigger that Ferozshah Kotla so I was like "achcha ji Delhi se bada kya baat hai!!" We got seated there. We expected that the stadium would be empty but to our surprise we found that there were around 500 persons to watch the match. I love the passion for the game here. Even when IPL was hosted here, the actual one, the stadium was packed unlike other venues this time. The chief guest was deputy collector of Indore. I had visited his office in the day but found out that he was not in his office and would return back by 4 and when I saw him out there I was so pissed off with with. I mean you have time for this but you can't be in office. ^%&^%&&(($$#!!!!
The match was being played between Gwalior and Bhopal divisional teams. Both of them had hideous jerseys. lol. Pink and white - Gwalior and Green and yellow - Bhopal. Gwalior batter first and crawled their way to 106/8 in reply Bhopal started whacking the ball right for the word go until the rain gods intervened and stopped the play. It was so amazing to see droplets in front of the floodlight. Millions of tiny drops falling down in different directions and big beam of light coming from behind it. It was amazing. :D The match didn't start again.
Monsoons are here in Indore, I guess, it rained and kept raining and it rained in the morning as well. Moti moti boondoon wali baarish! :D

Childhood Memories
'Change is inevitable and change is necessary'
Hence, we should also change something in the blog. Enough of Indore stuff for now. I will keep you updated with new happenings here in later blogs but today we will go into my childhood memories. I always wanted to pen down memories of mine till the age of 7-8. I think that is the carefree part of life where you needn't worry about anything and everything is taken care of by our parents and teachers (though that is still the case with me, I'm a loser, I agree).
I used to study in Vidya Public School before coming to BVB in class 3. So most of these memories happen in VPS. I'm not writing about the memories at home. It was a small school near my house. I could hear the morning bell in school from my house. That close.
Nursery-C
I don't remember the name of the teacher and I don't have many memories of that class. We had grey uniform. Grey pants and blue sweater in winters and grey shorts and shirt in summer.
Prep
I remember the name of the teacher. Her name was Vandana. She had long nails with which she used to pinch kids who disobeyed or didn't do their homework. *evil lady* But I was a good boy so I was never pinched. :D That classroom was really small and we had two types of chairs. Some were desk and chair type and the other one was on which desk was attached to the chair, umm, like the ones on which the desk is on one side of the arm of the chair. Everyone used to run for the attached chairs.
Class 1
The name of the teacher was Mrs. Gulati. She was a fat lady who used to put very dark lipstick. >:P This classroom was on the first floor. By this time I had made a couple of friends in school. We used to stand in the corridor in lunch period and look what's happening downstairs. And gaze at the small canteen and play area on the ground floor. The school didn't have a playground so whenever there was a games period, we either used to be seated in the school or taken to a park in the nearby housing area.
Class 2
We had Vandana Ma'am again as our Class teacher, the same lady with long nails. I was so scared of her right from the beginning. I remember there was a chapter in English at that time in which there was a camel who was crippled from one leg and didn't have one eye and how a merchant finds the thief following the path on which the camel walked. Since the camel had only one eye it ate grass from only one side of the path and because of its cripple, when the camel walked the footmarks of that leg was deeper on the sand. Something like that.
Class 3 - Beginning
This was a very pathetic classroom on the top floor made of wooden planks. It had tin shed and the walls were made of wooden planks. The classroom was always dirty because of the saw dust from because of the construction activity around it.
Random Memories
I particularly remember the Principal and the peon from that school. The principal was a 45-50 year old lady named Madhu Rai. She was always caring and always smiled. I just used to see her in the assembly. She didn't speak much either. The name of the peon was Kamal. He always used to wave and smile at me I think it was because he distinctly used to remember me as I was always late. I always used to start from my house when the bell rang and if you reach after the first bell there was a fine of Re.1. So it was a custom for me to carry Re.1 to school everyday. lol
I remember some of the people from there. I had 2 best friends there, their names were Hitesh Manchanda & Tausif Iqbal. I found Tausif on facebook some time back but he didn't remember me much. I couldn't find Hitesh though I searched a lot. He was very fair. We used to sit together and play. Both of them were very intelligent. Saloni (arguably my first crush) *blush* She was a really cute child. Once what happened was that it was her birthday, she distributed toffees and a tiffin box. I got a yellow coloured box, so everyone started teasing me 'potty wala colour potty wala colour', so she changed my tiffin box and gave me a green one. <3 hahhahahaha so romantic. Everyone used to tease her by singing that song 'Sanwali Saloni teri jheel si aankhen', though she was so not sanwali, she was really fair. Then there was this girl named Tarasha who used to live very close to school. So when mom used to come to pick me up from creche, we used to pass her house and sometimes mum would stop to talk to her mom about the school and in general. I have no clue where both of them are. Then there was this girl named Sumitra, my dad used to work with her dad. One day she was telling her about her new landline phone. So everybody was awed and started taking her number. I took her number too. I don't know how my dad saw that number and went paranoid. I was like what's wrong in this number. I still don't understand why he was so mad at me then. I last met her in a marriage and when I heard last she was doing some course in Kerala. There were 3 Gaurav in my class. I was always confused between them. lol. Twin sisters called Divya and Vidya. I had some really awful stories about one of them that she tried to elope with some guy. hahahaha. Crazy girl! Then there was Purnima who used to be in my creche as well. She was really fair, my mum always used to scold to take bath properly so that I become fair and not to go in the sun. hahahahahaha.
I remember a teacher who asked us to bring 4 pencils , an eraser and a handkerchief to school everyday. As soon as she came to class everyone was suppose to keep these stuff on the table so that she could check otherwise she would scold that poor chap really badly. And I was always on the top her list of offenders. I had many pencils and my mom and dad used to buy me new stationary almost everyday but as a ritual i would misplace it EVERY SINGLE DAY. I don't know how am I so talented in misplacing stuff, a talent I am still very good at. lol. Once what happened was this lady was checking pencils. I had bought that pencil at that time, the ones in which you could change the lead, it had some 10 pencil heads and you could remove and put it from the back and a new head would come. I kept that on the table and said that Ma'am it is equivalent to 10 pencils, so she she snapped back at me saying not if you misplace this single one. Ya whatever but it feels nice that a 7 year old could tell on her face ki ye 10 ke barabar hai. hahahaha
We used to have assembly every day before the start of classes. In that we used to sing 'Humko mann ki shakti dena', I still listen to this song whenever it comes on the radio. The song tells us about seeking courage from God to move forward in life. The assembly always use to end with the national anthem. I used to love singing it. I love my national anthem. It's the best in the world (atleast out of the ones I have heard so far but I am sure it is). There was day on which the teacher had asked us to memorize a patriotic song and we were suppose to recite it in front of the whole school. As consistent I forgot about that in the evening and started crying in the morning. I was very reluctant to go to school that day but my mom and dad would never let me take a holiday. My dad used to walk me to school everyday, while walking he asked me to memorize 'Saare jahaan se achcha' line by line, I started singing with him and memorizing it.
Saare jahaan se achcha
Hindustan humara
Hum bulbule hai iske
Ye gulsita humara humara
Saare jahaan se achcha
I finally reached the assembly to find that only a select few were suppose to sing the song. I was so so relieved on hearing upon that. Bach gaya!!:D
Once there was a incident when I was late to school, I had my Re.1 in my hand and was standing in the late-comers line. Kids who came via bus formed a different line right beside as the buses too were late sometimes but they didn't have to pay any fine and no punishment for them as well. So I was standing in the latecomers line, one of my friends was in the bus line. The bus teacher who used to escort this line into the school building was absent that day, so my friend asked me to sneak into that line. I gladly sneaked in and went to my classroom without paying and without punishment. Yay!!
There was a computer lab in the school but it had just 2 computer out of that only 1 was supposed to be operated. On this computer that teacher used to invite kids for 2 mins to make them press a key and send them back. I think she was making us familiarize with the keys. There was a game on it in which we had to play billiards, we had to first orient the cue with the mouse and then hit space bar to hit. Just 1 minute per student. Crazy people!
Once there was a class party. I think it was last day before Christmas. Each kid was suppose to bring something to eat from their home and then everyone would share. I had got burfis which had burfi on the bottom and chocolate layer on the top. The classroom was decorated with frills and stuff and their was some music as well. The teacher asked everyone to dance. I was so busy eating that I could hardly bother. Mrs. Gulati invited me to dance and started demonstrating to others how to dance. She taught some ball dance type moves and sadly I was her scapegoat. >:P
In class 2, I had my first attempt at peek-a-boo in an exam. I think I just didn't know 1 answer of 1 mark. Suddenly the girl who sat behind me asked me for the scale, as I turned to give it to her, my eyes fell on her sheet and I got that answer. I consider that as the first time I cheated in exams. I think I did that a couple of more times in the later exams but it was intentional then. hahaha
One day Nestle Milo van came to my school. They gave a cup of really hot Milo to every student. I always used to buy Milo at home as well because there was a free bat with it. :D
It was announced that class photograph would be clicked the next day and everyone was suppose to be in full school uniform with a bow-tie instead of the normal tie. Dad couldn't find bow-tie in the market so he said that he will buy that from the school book shop the next day. But it wasn't available their either. I started crying so dad bought be one more normal tie. So now I had 2 ties. :D My friends were teasing me that I didn't have a bow-tie, so I showed them 2 ties and said I have 2 you just have 1. :D Finally the time came when the photograph was suppose to be clicked. Everyone stood on in rows, I was in the last row. I wanted to stand with Tausif or Hitesh but I was taller so I had to stand in the last row with Karan (he was a bad boy hahahahaha Sorry dude if you ever read this). I found it really strange that the tie went inside the sweater/pullover, I thought then what's the use of wearing a tie when it is just partially visible. So I decided to wear my tie over my sweater. *rofl* I feel so stupid now. I still have that picture with my tie over my sweater. :D
Crazy days!!! :D :D

Indore Journal 7 - First Weekend
Saturday
As usual came to the office and started doing the nothings that I'm supposed to do. Did some corrections and stuff, read some stuff over the internet and sat idle. *yawn* Finally the time came when I had to go for the survey. This is something I really look forward to. :D Encountered really weird people that day while surveying. Everyone gave us a different way for the same destination.
IPL Final
The match was so unworthy of being a final. CSK literally demolished RCB. Gayle storm was reduced to a baby blowing his birthday candles. I think there should be a new phrase now, 'As lucky as Dhoni'.
I saw half the match at Nandan ji's and rest outside a Panwallah near my flat. The scene there was totally awesome. People buying cigarettes, pan and cold drinks and sitting around this TV on the porch or on their motorbikes and uttering comments on every happening. 'Yeh Dhoni toh saala kismat wala hai, jisse choota hai sona bana deta hai', 'Yeh Dhoni saala koi kala jadoo karta hai, ye doll banake unka gala ghotke aata hoga'. I had never heard people cursing so much on somebody's victory so much!! But whatever Dhoni once again proved that it can't just be luck because for it was just luck then he couldn't have achieved so much.
CSK is a big match team. It has people that raise their performance in crunch situation. Half the side is regular Indian team memebers. Dhoni, Raina, Ashwin, Murali Vijay, Badrinath apart from Hussey, Morkel and Bollinger to choke the opposition. Probably CSK will win the next two season's as well with such a formidable team.
Sunday - Fun Day
At last a holiday. A much awaited one. Arguably, I've never waited for a Sunday more than this one. I decided to make use of it to the maximum. I wanted to go out and asked flatmate for company. He said it was too hot outside so he would just rest at home (it was indeed pretty hot outside). So I started off for my first holiday. I decided to watch Hangover 2 as I had been waiting for it for so long and it was really hot outside so AC was a good bet at that time. I went to this mall called 'Treasure Island'. The mall was pretty big and for the first time I saw some pretty girls in Indore which otherwise a pretty dry state in this matter. *evil grin*
Hangover 2 to disappoints in providing the same entertainment and laughter quotient as the first part but if you don't compare the two it has a pretty decent story line and has some great funny moments which will make you laugh to the core.
After that I decided to do some local sightseeing and first stop was Rajwada. It is the most important building in Indore and was home to the Holkars who were the rulers of Indore. It was really beautiful. Multistoreyed, very intricately carved pillars, marble work, openness and enclosure features were very admirable over there. Then I went to see Krishnapura Chhatri. It is a combination of three temples, I guess, whose top dome is in the shape of a conical umbrella (that's where the name comes from). It was very serene and the detailing of carvings over there was astonishing and spell-bounding. At both the places I felt that people of Indore do not come here much. As both the places were very ill maintained and lacked attendance (attendance part may be because of the heat aspect as well). But its such a pity that people of the city aren't worthy of their heritage and this is not just in the case of Indore, its true for any city.
Came back home and slept. Power went of off. That's when I woke up but I was very reluctant to get up so I just kept lying there in the heat. And suddenly the fan started rotating. I love that moment when the fan starts again after a power cut. Suddenly you feel that nice cold when wind hits your sweaty body. *bliss*
Then we went to this new place for dinner as Nandan Ji is closed on Sunday evenings. The place was suggested by one of my colleagues and its called 'Chappan Dukaan' meaning 'Fifty-Six Shops'. It had 56 shops which are all eating joints and the range of food is awesome but non-veg jyada nahi hai. I had mutton roll and then veg biriyani. Anybody who comes to Indore must visit this place if not anything else. Must see on my list of Indore places. :D

Indore Journal 6
Life is getting boring day by day I guess. Its getting pretty monotonous. Get up, do your chores go to the office, go to have dinner, come back, watch a movie and sleep. Bah! Booorrrrriiiiinnngggg!! You need free time to enjoy a new place and there is a serious shortage of it here. I have to be in office even on Saturdays, yes all of them. *chokes*
It rained yesterday. Moti moti boondo wali baarish. Everyone was so excited to see the rain. The place where the planning wing is seated is right besides the window so as soon as it started raining everyone clobbered around the window to see the pleasant sight. They opened the window pane to let the fresh and cool air to come inside and to fill the room with the smell of the soil. Its amazing to see the effect of rain on women, I don't know whats with them when they see rain, 'Ah! Rain! Rain! Rain!' lol
My boss is on holiday for 3 days now. Yaaaaaaayyyy!! Less work. :D I just need to complete the survey task till the time he comes. We went for survey yesterday as well. For me survey = helping Nilesh a bit for the mapping part + exploring the city. The latter part is the one I personally look forward to doing. I saw the Krishnapura Chattri yesterday. Its on the bank of a river (totally converted into a nallah). It was beautiful. We were driving through the old city and at every half kilometer there was either a mosque or temple, it was I think like a competition between people at that time as to who would have more temples or mosques.
I had this think called Mango Rabri Faluda. I don't know where the hell does these ideas come into these people for mixing up such unrelated things. It wasn't bad though. :D
I watched True Grit last night and realized that the new True Grit is the exact remake of the old one. Both of them are good just that old one is more charming because of John Wayne.

Indore Journal 5
Hey!
I finally got hold of my sewer line work! Finished it by lunch. Then I had to go for field survey. I was waiting to go to the field from the day I was here, to check out how the city actually is. :D
Today's blog will be more about the city rather than what Nandan ji made or what happened in office or how dumb I feel in the office. lol
So we set out for the field survey at 4 pm on Nilesh's bike. Oh! You aren't familiar with Nilesh. He is the one I was talking about who keeps working all the time, he never even lifts his face. He doesn't speak much as well. He has a very likable personality though. A very sweet person. So, I was the pillion and we started our journey.
Indore Jail: The first striking thing when we were going that struck me was this flyover which was totally covered and you could see the faintest bit of what was behind it while driving, finally I had to ask Nilesh what it was. After seeing that I really don't want to go to prison, totally cut off from the outside world. Life would suck there, I guess, well you never know. ;)
Endless Nallahs: I think the city has endless nallahs flowing everywhere, even the river that flows through the city has been converted into a Nallah and the colour of water is totally black but that's the case with all Indian nallahs I guess. I sometimes wonder how nallahs inside Delhi are so black. How does sewer water turn black? Loads of industrial waste gets dumped into the nallah, these wastes include all kinds of chemicals, residual material and stuff. But since all the industries in Delhi have pushed out of the city into the periphery, how is it possible that the drains are still black. Bhai kya karte ho subah?? :P
Senseless drivers: You cannot miss senseless drivers over here. They are totally insane its like a 5 grandmas spinning their yarn sticks together, that's how motorists move here. Losers!!
Old City: Roaming around in the old city was an amazing experience. Its almost the same in character as Delhi's just the scale is smaller. Muslim dominated, amazing aroma of freshly prepared food, lots of bustle, narrow lanes and people walking chaotically all around.
Rajwada: Rajwada is like the centre of Indore and arguably the most important heritage building here. I didn't get the chance to go inside, I'll make sure that I go there before leaving. The entrance gate is magnificent with multiple floors in red and white. I think its red and beige sandstone work and has influences of Rajput and Maratha styles.
Bus Ride: Bus journey was good. Any city is best experienced either on foot or its public transport. Foot pe karne ka itna time nahi tha toh socha chalo bus me chad lete hai. Can you believe, bus stops here have electronic boards to tell what time the next bus would come!! Delhi please grow up (in this matter only, lol). Saw some nice buildings on the way out of which I could recognize just one called Gandhi Bhavan. It has a huge clock tower. Bus ride was fun with the locals chit chatting about their daily events (couldn't resist eves-dropping). :D
Just one more thing in this blog. Saw Bandit Queen last night. Amazing amazing movie. Seema Biswas!! Hats off to you lady. What a portray of Phoolan Devi. Absolutely spell bounding.

Indore Journal 4
hello people [actually just a couple of you guys who read this ;)]!
Day at office:
So you know what work I was assigned right, yeah the tatti thing, lol. It is such a fucking mess. Sir explained me what needs to be done and while explaining he also did more than half of my work and then it was my turn. With 1/3rd work left, I kept sitting with that work for the whole evening but couldn't complete it. It is still incomplete. I feel like a total jackass in this office. Saala everybody is working and I am fucking sitting like a moron gazing at the screen and wondering that a miracle would happen and apne aap sab ho jayega.
Anyways you guys must have noticed the transition from 'Boss dude' to 'Sir'. Yeah he actually is. There are some people who just know it all.
Today flatmate decided to skip the dinner as he had to go to some office party. So I had to go to Nandan ji's alone. But that's fine I was pretty prepared to be alone all the time. So I went there watched the match for sometime. Gautam Gambhir was a bad bet, saala dhang se chala hi nahi, I hope next time wo SRK ko jeetaye. I packed food for him and bought his breakfast and went back home. So I went back home, big house and chota sa mai akela. I washed all my clothes. I totally endorse Haier washing machines. They are amazing! Just put the clothes, click the button and forget about it. I sorted out all the reading material that I am carrying though I'm not sure if I would work on it anytime soon. lol.
Thanks to Kashish again I received some updates about the game. I think he is the only person who has time to text, everyone else seems to be really busy! :P Watched 'Crank' last night. Jason Stathum was good as usual but it was a pretty crazy movie. Not bad.
I received a really unexpected call last night. <3 Everyone has somebody whom when they listen to you feel so carefree and out of the world! :D
keep calling. ;)

keep calling. ;)

Indore Journal 3
Well, so I got my first task. Ammu always used to tease me about what my job as a planner is 'potty ki lines bichane wala', and that is exactly what I got as my first task, sewerage. lol. Kali zuban wali!! Boss dude explained me all that is to be done and spoon fed me with the information and everything. The work is pretty ok but a little time consuming. I just hope I have the patience to do it.
I was over with my work for the day by 7:30 pm but had to wait for Boss 1 and Boss 2 to leave so that I could leave with them. But they kept on working which was a blessing in disguise though. I could use all that time to surf and fill my internet hungry stomach.
Finally at 9 we left for Home Food Centre for Nandan ji ka khaana. :D
Nandan ji made Roti, Chawal, Aaloo beans (again very salty, >:P), Dal and Gatte ki tari wali sabzi (Super Yum!!). I just kept having that, I ate around 9 rotis and 3 servings of rice but its like a small bowl so don't go OMG Such a demon!! lol
IPL was on in there and RCB was smashing it all around the park. I told Boss 2 that even then CSK have an upper hand, CSK lifts there game in big matches.
There was a very interesting chat going on between a couple of students and an uncle (i felt he had an angel hat on his head like the ones you see on cupid's head, yeah the circular one, lol), he was talking all the wise things in the world. Ok, so the discussion I think was on entrance results and which are the best colleges and stuff.
Psuedo Intellectual Guy: IIT me toh nahi hoga, maine check kiya mere 200 kuch ban rahe hai, 9000 ke kareeb rank aayegi, usme toh kya hi hota hai.
Wise uncle: Haan its ok. Nirma me kya situtation (I don't know may be some college)
Psuedo Intellectual Guy: Haan, waha toh ho hi jayega. Uncle NIT kaisa hai?
Wise uncle: Achcha hai bohot badiya hai. Waha mil jaye toh better rahega. Fees bhi kum hai.
Psuedo Intellectual Guy: Haan ye toh hai. Maine suna hai ki IIT ki fees 9 lakh karne ka 'prastaav' hai.
Wise uncle: Arre ye toh bohot galat baat hai.
Psuedo Intellectual Guy: Kyu? Waha toh har jane ka itna grand package milta hai kya farak padega.
Wise uncle: Arre toh ye sahi thodi na hai ki bache ke daakhila hote hi uspe 9 lakh ka karza chadha hua ho.
Psuedo Intellectual Guy: Haan mera toh agar ho bhi jayega tab bhi mai nahi jaunga.
It continued for some more time and all the while I was thinking about how arrogant the time was and what a mess this country is in. People are just fighting for a seat in the top college. And what coaching centres are doing to the youth. I think coaching centres have a big role to play in the diminishing standards of kids in top universities. All they do is give the question and tell a method to solve it in the fastest way. What this does in makes the poor guy think in only one way and not about the alternative solutions or possibilities. Sucks!
We went back home and I was too tired for anything. I very enthusiastically bought Tide and thought that I would wash clothes today but all I managed was to soak them in water and go to bed. I watched 'The Last of the Mohicans' before bed. Dude Daniel Day Lewis, alright I like you but what kind of movies do you choose man?? Its a okayish movie. I liked the fact that he doesn't do the hero things and lets everyone take the centre stage.
Thanks Kashish Arora for sending match updates I was craving for them. But all the while when you said that RCB is going great and stuff I knew that CSK is going to win. They just have a knack to win big games. Raina and Dhoni are big match players and Morkel came to the party too. But I don't want them to win IPL this season! Come on Mumbai, Kolkata and Banglore you can do it!!

Indore Journal 2
Alright where did I stop yesterday, umm ok, office. Or lets just rewind a bit. I was getting bored in office yesterday. At 6ish I asked flatmate/ junior boss if I could leave and then I would have met him for dinner later. Everyone had left except him. There were just 2 people in the office. He explained later that all the ladies leave earlier and the gents stay uptill 8. I was like ok, grrrrrr. He asked me to surf for sometime. (well this is something I am looking forward to, hahaha). I texted everyone and was chatting with people who were replying back. Thanks for replying otherwise I would have been bored to death in the God forsaken place.
Food seeming very costly I decided to try out the tiffin system which is quiet popular here. I went to this place called Home Food Centre. A nice quiet place with pink walls. It is on the first floor of a building with a Philips TV kept in the room and a bench with seating on either side of it. A really warm and nice guy who has a squint came up to greet us into the room. His name is Nandan. You have to remove your shoes before entering the room. Flatmate made me introduce to the guy and he then served us food. The typical thali consists of 6 rotis, some rice, 1 dal and 2 subzis which normally would be ok for a person but you know me for the monster I am. lol. Yesterday he served roti, chawal, aalo ki sabji and kundru. Aaloo ki sabji made me feel like salt was free in this state. I just had one serving of it. There is no limit to food if you go to the bhojanalaya and eat unlike the tiffin which is sent to the office which is fixed. Rotis are rationed from being unlimited at the bhojanalaya to 4 in office, 2 sabzis are reduced to 1. The food was ok/not bad sorts but the best part that would make you return to the place was the manner in which he served it. Always with a smile. The comforting smile would make you return and have food everytime. The charges are nominal. The package I took would give me 56 meals for Rs. 1600. I hope there is a lot of variety in the future. :D
Went back home then and watched back to back movies. Firstly, Alice in Wonderland (Johny Depp, you are the man!!) and then 127 Hours (umm okayish movie barring 2 scenes when the guy and the 2 chicks jump off the cliff and the scene in which he cuts his hand.
I woke up real late today but got ready just in time. Came to office at 11 and just sat down on my chair. Spoke to my colleagues for a couple of minutes when one of them shooed the other saying that boss is going to come any moment *rolling eyes*
Suddenly I found a really interesting book lying on the table called Vintage Indore. I read the whole of it and found some really interesting facts about Indore (would blog about it later). It had a lot of pictures of how Indore was earlier and about the heritage of the place.
Entry of the boss:
How do you imagine a boss to be? A man in formal shirt, rings on one hand, tummy, mid forties, authoritarian voice but here comes this man barging into the cabin and asking for updates on various tasks that were to be performed. He wore a red round neck t-shirt and jeans with sports shoes. His hair was a mess too like he was straight from the bed. He would give orders and every time he does that he would make his hair fall back. lol. Seems pretty learned and a good manager.
He asked me to read about the project they were doing and as always whatever he was asking from me either I didn't know about it or I absolutely lacked interest in it. The thing which I was so keen on working was already completed *heartbroken* but whatever, jo kaam dega kar dunga, par wo ek baar kaam de toh sahi.
So here I am sitting waiting for my task, until the next blog, bois!!

Indore Journal 1
Well well well.... So finally I'm in a new city all by myself. And the adventure began in Delhi itself. Indian Railways was the first one to give me a shocker by not confirming my ticket. Bitches!! I had a AC ticket but had to travel all the way in the sleeper coach. God bless that guy who let me share his seat. He kept sleeping all the time and I had to adjust in whatever space was available but whatever I atleast got space to sit and keep my luggage. God bless him, I don't know if I would have let someone sit on my seat like that but I sure will from now on. The train was so crowded with lots of people like me in it. lol. Ticket but no reservation is what I mean.
So I got to this new city.
Here is a free universal fact: Autowale har jagah ke equally kamine hote hai!!! They can go fucking take a hike!!
But whatever I finally reach my new room, mind you, MY, my being the important word. hahahahaha. Ok i open the door and enter and blast of dust comes on my face. It was like opening a haunted mansion after centuries. Lots of leftover stuff from people who used to live there before, cigarette buds, liquor bottles, match sticks and a hukka lying on the floor. The floor so muddy and sticky, you would puke if you touch it with your hands.
New flatmate:
New flatmate is a really nice fellow. A senior from the same college I am from. He has done masters from there and had been in Libya until political unrest there forced him to come back to the city and finally end up in Indore. Bad luck really. He seems like a sweet, conservative Indian fellow. Thanks man you let me use your bathroom. And thanks for taking me out for dinner. It would have been hard without you to arrange all the stuff.
Between I made my utterly dusty and dingy room into a much habitable room into a reasonably livable place. (Pics will be uploaded soon)
Prince (ex-room owner) had put up these super cool lights in the room. One is a green color light which gives this super cool doped atmosphere and the other one is a bulb + red light effect again a super romantic/ colonial look. He also had a round glass bowl, I haven't found a suitable use for it but it looks super cool. (I'm thinking of buying fishes, lets see). And a very strange looking tribal man statue. And there is a amazing banner of Che Guevera which he used to use as table cover. I mean how could you???? I have kept that for washing will do that asap and revive its glory.
Food:
I don't if its with me or its with the new place I am hungry all the time and no amount of food is sufficient for me. I had something called 'Dal Bhafle Ladoo' for lunch yesterday. It was okayish but a different experience. Overpriced though. The new flatmate took me out for dinner to 'Udupi King', a small south Indian joint which doesn't know how a Mysore Masala Dosa tastes. Losers! And it was so tiny I was hungry throughout. Then we went to a place there were rolls. I had a single chicken single egg roll. It was okayish but trust me on this one till now Delhi has way way better food and options. :D
Had 3 rotis from flatmates lunch today afternoon I was in such hunger that I could have taken all his food but I stood up and went downstairs to buy some more food myself. Went to the same rolls' place and had Chowmein this time (sucked!!).
Office:
Office is pretty close the house, just 5 minutes walk. Office is nice like the usual private firms with cabins and cubicles and lousy people sitting in front of their desktops and doing their stuff. Occasionally opening facebook and then retaliating the moment the see that someone is looking at them. lol. But they don't realize that people who are looking at them also are waiting to do the same. (like me) Till now there are a 3 ladies and 2 gents in the section I am sitting.
Flatmate: Keenly looking at the computer and doing some stuff.
Lady 1: Working/ facebook/ youtube/ thesis
Lady 2: Working/ Serious types/ facebooking/ Searching for alternate jobs
Lady 3: Can't see what she is upto but she is very restless
The other guy: Seems to super mehenati, can't see him, constantly sitting on his chair and doing something.
Overall 2 days have been pretty okayish. Boss was absent today so not much work.
Waiting for my life to get screwed when he comes back. lol.
Till then bois!

Something is terribly wrong with me
I have an uncanny knack of pissing off people. I don't do it deliberately but it happens. There is something terribly wrong with me but that's the way I am. But for the matter of fact I AM NOT WRONG ALL THE TIME.
Circumstances are a bitch!
Revenge is a bitch!
Greed is a bitch!
Attention is a bitch!
Modesty is a bitch!
Possessiveness is a bitch!
Jealousy is a bitch!
Competition is a bitch!
I - bitch!

World Cup humara hai! :D
Wow! Feels so amazing to witness my country winning the world cup in my favourite sport. Last year I witnessed girls from India winning the 4*400m relay, I felt ecstatic about that but this feeling of having the cricket world cup under our belt is much much more. Me, being from a country where cricketers are seen as Gods, cricket is not just a sport, its a religion, its an undying passion.
From the beginning of the tournament I was pretty confident of India's victory which was further strengthened when I saw the middle order showing class in the league matches. The last three matches of the world cup that India played were probably the best examples of team effort that India has shown in a long long time. Each one of those matches were absolutely prolific.
My heart goes out to all the veterans who were playing their last world cups but more to one particular man - Muthaih Muralidharan. I bow down in reverence to you. I so so wish you were an Indian and I could cheer for you when you would have played in the Indian jersey. My heart fills out when I say that it was the one thing missing in the kitty of Sachin Ramesh Tendulkar that was added by this victory - the elusive World Cup. May God bless you for the smiles you and your team has brought to millions of Indians.
Though the final was an amazing one with Dhoni proving why he is the deserving captain, I wanted Sehwag and Sachin to do what they had done to Pakistan in Centurion, 2003. That would have been the ultimate Final. But nonetheless, Dhoni peaked at the right time, it was like he was waiting for this platform to dazzle.
Raina, dude! You are amazing! It wouldn't have been possible without you.
Feels amazing! :D
